Coffee Ground Fiber PP Composite

WYC-PP P179506N

Coffee Ground Fiber PP combines polypropylene with processed spent coffee grounds, resulting in a naturally brown material with clearly visible dark particles and gentle tonal variation. The molded surface has an earthy, slightly granular appearance, and a mild roasted-coffee aroma may remain depending on processing conditions. Its PP base supports practical injection molding and everyday handling while the coffee content supplies the defining visual character. Suitable products include planters, storage boxes, desk organizers, pet accessories and café-themed display components.

Usage Guidelines and Processing Notes

Material use

Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with pure PP in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.

Color matching

Color matching is supported within a limited range. Because the natural base is dark, select dark color families; pale or bright colors cannot reliably cover the original tone. Confirm the target with a molded color sample.

Processing method

Injection molding.

Mold care

Use hardened, corrosion-resistant mold steel. Clean the mold promptly after processing, because plant-fiber composite material left in the tooling can corrode the mold if it is not removed in time.

Reference Processing Temperatures

StageReference setting
Drying100–120 °C for 4–5 h
Rear zone155–165 °C
Middle zone160–175 °C
Front zone160–175 °C
Nozzle160–175 °C
Mold60–70 °C

Important: These settings are starting references only. Adjust them for the machine, mold, part geometry and residence time. Excessive temperature or residence time can scorch or carbonize the plant fiber; begin at the lower end and increase only as needed.
