Wood Fiber PA6 Composite

PA6 Composite

Wood Fiber PA6 PA28 335M combines a PA6 base with natural wood fiber, producing a medium brown material with dense dark grain and a pronounced wood-like surface. The molded sample shows strong tonal variation and a smooth finish in which the fine wood particles remain clearly visible. This grade is intended for parts that need the form definition of a PA6-based compound together with a natural material appearance. Potential applications include tool handles, furniture fittings, appliance components, structural clips and decorative technical parts.

Usage Guidelines and Processing Notes

Material use

Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with compatible virgin PA6 in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.

Color matching

Color matching is supported within a limited range. Because the natural base is dark, select dark color families; pale or bright colors cannot reliably cover the original tone. Confirm the target with a molded color sample.

Processing method

Injection molding.

Mold care

Use hardened, corrosion-resistant mold steel. Clean the mold promptly after processing, because plant-fiber composite material left in the tooling can corrode the mold if it is not removed in time.

Reference Processing Temperatures

StageReference setting
Drying110–120 °C for 4–5 h
Rear zone195–215 °C
Middle zone220–235 °C
Front zone230–240 °C
Nozzle230–245 °C
Mold60–80 °C

Important: These settings are starting references only. Adjust them for the machine, mold, part geometry and residence time. Excessive temperature or residence time can scorch or carbonize the plant fiber; begin at the lower end and increase only as needed.
