Wood Fiber PP Composite P179302

WYC-PP P179302

Wood Fiber PP P179302 combines polypropylene with natural wood fiber, giving molded parts visible wood particles, subtle natural color variation and a distinctive wood-like appearance. The material can also retain a mild natural wood aroma, helping finished products feel less like conventional plastic. It maintains the practical toughness and formability required for everyday injection-molded products while adding a recognizable natural-material character. Typical applications include pet accessories, clothes hangers, storage products, household items and decorative molded parts.

Usage Guidelines and Processing Notes

Material use

Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with pure PP in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.

Color matching

Color matching is supported. Because the natural base is light, most color families can be developed, although the plant particles remain visible and may shift the final shade. Confirm the target with a molded color sample.

Processing method

Injection molding and extrusion.

Mold care

Use hardened, corrosion-resistant mold steel. Clean the mold promptly after processing, because plant-fiber composite material left in the tooling can corrode the mold if it is not removed in time.

Reference Processing Temperatures

StageReference setting
Drying100–110 °C for 4–5 h
Rear zone165–175 °C
Middle zone165–175 °C
Front zone175–185 °C
Nozzle175–185 °C
Mold70–80 °C

Important: These settings are starting references only. Adjust them for the machine, mold, part geometry and residence time. Excessive temperature or residence time can scorch or carbonize the plant fiber; begin at the lower end and increase only as needed.
