Cereal Fiber PP Composite

WYC-PP P179002N

Cereal Fiber PP combines polypropylene with finely milled wheat stem straw, giving the material a pale gray-natural color with dense, small fiber marks. The fine straw distribution produces a controlled grain that is noticeable without looking coarse. Molded parts have a firm, dry surface character and retain the practical formability expected from PP-based compounds. The grade is suitable for plant pots, storage containers, clothes hangers, pet accessories and desk organizers that benefit from a subtle agricultural-fiber appearance.

Usage Guidelines and Processing Notes

Material use

Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with pure PP in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.

Color matching

Color matching is supported. Because the natural base is light, most color families can be developed, although the plant particles remain visible and may shift the final shade. Confirm the target with a molded color sample.

Processing method

Injection molding.

Mold care

Use hardened, corrosion-resistant mold steel. Clean the mold promptly after processing, because plant-fiber composite material left in the tooling can corrode the mold if it is not removed in time.

Reference Processing Temperatures

StageReference setting
Drying100–120 °C for 4–5 h
Rear zone155–165 °C
Middle zone160–175 °C
Front zone160–175 °C
Nozzle160–175 °C
Mold70–80 °C

Important: These settings are starting references only. Adjust them for the machine, mold, part geometry and residence time. Excessive temperature or residence time can scorch or carbonize the plant fiber; begin at the lower end and increase only as needed.
