Material use
Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with pure PP in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.
WYC-PP P179402N
Tea Fiber PP combines polypropylene with refined fiber from Tieguanyin tea shoots and leaves. The material develops a muted green-beige to gray tone with fine dark leaf specks, and it may retain a mild herbal tea aroma depending on processing. Its molded surface feels dry and lightly textured while remaining sufficiently uniform for clearly shaped everyday parts. This distinctive leaf-derived appearance works well for tea trays, desk organizers, plant pots, storage accessories and pet products where a calm, natural visual effect is preferred.
For this material, we use tea as the plant source.

Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with pure PP in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.
Color matching is supported within a limited range. Because the natural base is dark, select dark color families; pale or bright colors cannot reliably cover the original tone. Confirm the target with a molded color sample.
Injection molding.
Use hardened, corrosion-resistant mold steel. Clean the mold promptly after processing, because plant-fiber composite material left in the tooling can corrode the mold if it is not removed in time.
| Stage | Reference setting |
|---|---|
| Drying | 100–120 °C for 4–5 h |
| Rear zone | 155–165 °C |
| Middle zone | 160–175 °C |
| Front zone | 160–175 °C |
| Nozzle | 160–175 °C |
| Mold | 50–60 °C |
Important: These settings are starting references only. Adjust them for the machine, mold, part geometry and residence time. Excessive temperature or residence time can scorch or carbonize the plant fiber; begin at the lower end and increase only as needed.

Material safety documentation can be provided for product handling and project review.

RoHS compliance documentation can be supported according to the applicable grade and production batch.
